Hi! I’m Savannah.

Throughout life I have always contemplated the meaning of connection: How we are connected to the earth, to the people around us, even our own inner connection.

I have always been the question asker and the resolution seeker, and it’s this curiosity that is the foundation of my desire to help others.

My journey toward a career did not start in pursuit of the Mental Health Profession. I knew I wanted to serve people but I was not sure in what capacity. It wasn’t until my own personal experience in therapy that my calling clicked. From that point I knew the mental health profession and counseling was my avenue for my calling of servanthood. I know that if I can help others gain knowledge, power, and peace over their lives, then I have fulfilled a great purpose.

I graduated with my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Campbellsville University and am now a Marriage and Family Therapy Student Intern, working toward my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.

As a part of the Renew team, I am excited to leverage both my education and my previous experience to walk alongside my clients. From caring for the elderly in Long Term Care as an SRNA to working with college students from the academic side of things, I have always found myself stuck in connection. Pursuing a career in mental health therapy is something that I take very seriously and that connection that is so pivotal between client and therapist is something that I will never take for granted and will always try to uphold to the highest standard of care. This person-centered approach is evident at Renew Counseling and I am excited to share this passion for serving others with this wonderful team of passionate therapists!
